Biografia
Gli EMBRYO nascono nel 2000 dalle ceneri dei Lost Fate, classic metal band di cui Uge (chitarra), Ivan (batteria) e Gigi (tastiere) erano i compositori principali; durante l'ultimo periodo di vita di questo gruppo, ci si era spostati su un Death Metal melodico d'impatto, con l'apporto delle tastiere; su questo si baseranno successivamente le prime canzoni composte con gli Embryo. Alla fine dell'anno, il cantante Roberto si unisce al gruppo, con il suo stile screamings e classici growls; autore di tutte le lyrics, egli crea uno scenario in cui l'odio ed il dolore sono i soggetti principali. L'ingresso del bassista Alberto, all'inizio del 2001, completa la line-up: con la composizione delle linee di basso il materiale è pronto per essere registrato.
La band è rimasta in studio da Aprile a Maggio 2001 per registrare il primo demo-cd “The Source Of Hate”. Composto da 5 canzoni, contiene sia parti melodiche che altre più brutali, con inserti quasi “progressive” delle tastiere. Le maggiori influenze si possono riscontrare in Death, At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity …ecc…!
Dopo un‘ intensa promozione in collaborazione con la Kick Agency Promotion, “The Source Of Hate” riscuote molti consensi da varie fanzine, webzine, italiane e non; così, gli Embryo decidono di registrare un promo-cd solo ed esclusivamente per loro e per le case discografiche … Il nuovo lavoro contiene 3 pezzi registrati il 30 Giugno 2002 presso gli “X-STUDIO” di Bollate (mi). Questo è anche l'anno in cui la band partecipa al Transilvania Rock Contest giungendo alla finale del 21 maggio. Ma proprio quando le cose sembrano andare per il meglio e tutto è ormai pronto per la nuova promozione, il bassista Alberto lascia il gruppo. E' il Dicembre 2002.
Gli Embryo sono di nuovo a piedi; fortunatamente però a fine mese si unisce alla band il bassista Christian, che in breve tempo riesce ad imparare tutti i pezzi; il gruppo può così continuare il lavoro di promozione dei nuovi pezzi, che li porta ad esibirsi anche in Svizzera e Austria. Poiché anche quest'ultimo lavoro riceve numerosi consensi, gli Embryo decidono finalmente di registrare un vero e proprio cd!
Così, dopo un intenso lavoro di composizione, la band ha 12 nuovi pezzi totalmente inediti… ma i problemi ricominciano. Nel Settembre del 2004, infatti, il tastierista Gigi annuncia al gruppo che appena finite le registrazioni del nuovo cd abbandonerà la band!! Gli Embryo entrano nei “Beat Bazar Studio” di Cremona nell' Ottobre 2004 e Gigi lascia il gruppo in Dicembre; quest'ultimo viene sostituito da Simone, che compone e registra le parti di tastiera di “ I'll Watch You Die ” e il solo di “ Kill Your Gods ”.
Nel Marzo del 2005 gli Embryo cominciano il mixaggio del cd sempre presso i “Beat Bazar Studio”, e nel frattempo avviano il lavoro di realizzazione delle grafiche.
A Settembre la band entra in contatto con la label Officina Rock, che ne apprezza da subito il lavoro. Così nel Gennaio 2006 gli Embryo firmano con la label il loro primo contratto.
Il nuovo album, dal titolo “ Chaotic Age “,mescola influenze death e thrash alle quali si unisce il lavoro delle tastiere, parte integrante del sound della band sin dagli esordi.
“Chaotic Age”, distribuito da Masterpiece uscirà in tutti i negozi a Marzo…STAY TUNED!!!



Embryo were born in 2000 from the ashes of Lost Fate, classic-metal band where Uge (guitar), Ivan (drums) and Gigi (keyboards) were the main composers. In the last times of Lost Fate the band turned into an aggressive-melodic death metal with keyboards that also was the base of the first Embryo' songs. At the end of that year the singer Roberto joined the band with his classic screaming and growling style; he 'll be the author of all the lyrics, in which he creates landscapes of hate and pain. To complete the line-up, at the beginning of 2001 the bass-player Alberto joined the band: with the composition of the bass-lines, songs were ready to be recorded.
The band stayed in studio between April and May 2001 to record the first demo-cd “The Source Of Hate”: composed by 5 songs, it contains even melodic than brutal parts, with almost “progressive” keyboards inserts. The biggest influencies could be find in Death, At The Gates, Dark Tranquillity…and so on.
After a widespred underground promotional campain with Kick Agency Promotion, “The Source Of Hate” received positive reviews from fanzines, webzines …, thus Embryo decided to record a promotional cd only for labels, magazines, webzines…
The new release is a three-song cd recorded on June 30th 2002 at “X-Studio” in Bollate (Milan).This is also the year in wich the band was among the finalists of the Transilvania Rock Contest. But in december 2002, when things seemed to be right and everything was ready for the new cd promotion, the bass-player Alberto left the band.
Embryo were still off the games, but luckly at the end of December the new bass-player Christian joined the band and in a few days learned all the songs; so, the band was able to go on promoting the new songs in Italy and also Austria and Switzerland! Since this new work recived immediately large consents, Embryo decided to realize their first real cd!
So, after a hard period of composition, the band had 12 new songs ready to be recorded, but...problems never finish! In September 2004, the keyboard-player Gigi announced the others members he 'll left the band as soon as the recording of the new cd will be completed.
Embryo started to work at “Beat-Bazar Studio” in October 2004. Only two months later, Gigi left the band. Simone, who took his place, composed and recorded the keyboards parts on “ I' ll Watch You Die ” and “ Kill Your Gods ” solo.
In spring 2005 Embryo started the mixing, and in the meantime they started the realization of the artwork.
On September, the band met the label Officina Rock, who appreciated their work; so the band signed the contract with the italian label on January 2006.
The new album, called “Chaotic Age”, mixes death/thrash influences with keyboards work, that is integral part of Embryo's sound since the beginning.

Che mazzata! Il commento iniziale non è dei più raffinati, ma non si può esclamare altro di fronte a ‘Embryo 2003’ promo/demo CD dell’omonima band milanese. I tre pezzi che compongono questa loro seconda release sono davvero notevoli; oltre a godere, infatti di un’ottima produzione, le composizioni ‘Individual Revolution’, ‘Lonely In Pain’ e ‘Howling Memories’ riescono a fondere magistralmente la furia nichilista del death svedese, la dinamica del thrash americano (ultimi Testament, Dark Angel, Sadus) ed atmosfere oscure a claustrofobiche degne dei migliori Fear Factory, ma con la magniloquenza delle formazioni black sinfoniche, quali i Dimmu Borgir. Artefici primari di questo gioiellino di demo sono il tastierista Gigi, incredibile nell’uso del suo strumento, vario e fantasioso, le ritmiche del chitarrista Uge, reo solo di non prodursi in assoli, e l’impressionante furia tecnica del batterista Ivan. Non vogliamo, per questo, escludere il bassista Alberto ed il singer Roberto, quest’ultimo spietato ed incredibilmente interpretativo nella song capolavoro del demo, ‘Lonely In Pain’ epica nella sua furia e nella grandeaur delle sue strutture melodiche. Un vero inno al dolore ed al tormento, una marcia per la battaglia finale. Ascolto obbligato!
